Teaching
Dr Tina Makereti teaches at the International Institute of Modern Letters, Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington. She convenes a masters workshop of fiction and creative nonfiction students and supervises masters and PhD students. Tina is always happy to talk with keen writers (and/or potential writers) about the possibility of studying creative writing, and has a special interest in encouraging Māori and Pasifika writers.

Tina appears regularly at book festivals throughout Aotearoa, and has spoken about her work at international literary events including the Frankfurt Book Fair, the Taipei International Book Exhibition, Damian Barr’s Literary Salon, London, the Oceania exhibition at The Royal Academy of Arts, London, the Edinburgh International Book Festival, Jamaica’s Calabash Festival and Writers from the South at the State Library of NSW, Sydney.
